The Hynds Entrepreneurial Fellows Programme was established in 2020 to embed innovation and entrepreneurship into the curricula across the University of Auckland, by working with and supporting academics from all faculties and disciplines.
Peter Rachor, an appointed Hynds Entrepreneurial Fellow, brings a wealth of diverse experience to the role as a former senior executive and an entrepreneur in his own right, with experience in mobile, web and biomedical technologies.
Peter plays a vital role in cultivating the entrepreneurial potential of University of Auckland students. The programme of work, led through the Centre for Innovation and Enterprise, aims to develop the entrepreneurial mindset and capability of students and facilitate their engagement with New Zealand’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Adding further impact, in 2024 Marissa Kaloga was welcomed as the second Hynds Fellow. Marissa partners with faculties and diverse disciplines across the university to co-create opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the curriculum. She has a background in community-engaged research exploring the role of social entrepreneurship and social innovation in the transition to a more just and sustainable future.
